Our Twitter competition winner, Janet Shapcott, came for her professional headshot yesterday afternoon.
As you might expect, Janet was well prepared for a fun time and had given careful consideration to the alternative outfits and accessories she brought, ensuring that she got plenty of variety in her final choice and could see the effect of different neckline and colour choices to suit her own body shape and colouring.Whilst this is not my absolute favourite shot of her, I think this is my favourite choice for her Linkedin profile, (which is only an egg at the moment!) which I think shows her warmth and approachability. Its so important when selecting photos from a session like this, to bear in mind the end use, and the audience that you are presenting yourself to. It has become accepted business practise that everyone uses a business headshot as part of their personal brand, and it is a well known fact that people buy from people they know, like and trust. That decision is often made in an instant. So you need your first photographic impression to be one that will engage others right from the start. You need a dynamic and individual headshot for business needs. One that people will remember and feel compelled to connect with. Combined with your unique credentials this is what will set you apart from everyone else out there.
Janet is the Office manager of Shapcotts Chartered Accountants and Business Advisors in Derby. Shapcotts is a well established family business with 18 staff members, whose varied skills and experience are as varied as their client list. Despite being local, their clients are as far away as Cornwall and Scotland. Technological investment has meant that they can confidently service accounts that are not on their doorstep.
There are a number of options for individual business headshot shoots and company team headshot shoots depending on your usage requirements.
Individual business headshot shoots generally take place in the studio in Edwalton. If you prefer something more personalised, the studio can come to you
